Brief History
Kawasai Heavy Industries was founed in 1876 by Shozo Kawasaki. The company was originally founded to build cargo-passenger ships. Kawasaki effort to develop new technologies got them into the motorcycle industry in the 1950's following production of motorcycle engines and machines. Kawasaki also developed aircraft engines and machines before getting into motorcycles.
